Don't worry, the GE is newer and bigger! We'll have a better chance of survival!

Well, maybe the initial collison, but what about the characteristic spontaneous combustion of the engine?

bigger and newer yes...but Id take my chances on the EMD, at least you wont burn to death, or have the shame of getting snuffed on a GE...heck, thats about as bad as getting whacked in New york city.

I See that the railroads up there have to do the same as the NS and CSX do around here. Put a EMD or two in the consist to pick up the slack when a GE craps out 5 miles out of the yard. At least if the GE is leading and they hit something, it wont be a great loss and the good power will be proctected

That train went as follows

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=73390 (leading)

6019

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=73384

and another EMD, cant remember which.

Also that day was inside a CWR train highlights from that are

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=39043 (rejected because of being over exposed, but i still stand by my own judgement that it was a white cab)

On a different note, I am glad that GM put more effort into building their locomotives than their cars. I mean if they put the same effort into their locomtives as their automobiles their locomotives would run like BBD!

Well, you know, an EMD locomotive is really nothing more than a big ol' Chevy truck.

Instead of a new screener from the west coast (or along with one from the west coast) I think we need a screener who is a GE fan. (I'm open!)

I got no problems with ALCOs! I'm just not that fond of EMDs!

Well I have never seen any problems with GE, I see more problems with GM units in Canada. They suck during the winter. The ONT GP38's always are breaking down in the winter causing ONT to send a bus to do the run from Northbay to toronto. Might I add, Buses are terrible. I have never seen any worse out of a GE. What about GO's F59PH's they seem to be a lot of trouble according to the mechanics, not enough power. Now I am not suporting GE units but I am defending them.
