Funny you should say that. There were other things I was being OCD about, one of them being the spacing between each light. It...has...to...be...perfect...and the lights must alternate in color in same order.

Here's a shot from last year:

Jim, not trying to nitpick here, but that picture needs some serious CCW rotation......you know it only takes a few seconds to fix that in Photoshop.....

Wow Jim - posting a shot that's leaning... next thing you know dogs will be sleeping with cats, Republicans will be agreeing with Democrats, and China will say "that money you us, let's just called it even."

It needs CCW and some simple editing like this:

P.S. Jim I deleted this photo so I do not have a picture of your girlfriends house on my hard drive.

I'm late to the party on this one, but it occurs to me that railroads may very well have a Festivus train with a Festivus pole - but you'd never find a picture of one on RP.net. Poles growing out of trains are a serious no-no, after all!

You fellas are some damn nitpickers!

See, the house has sagged a little over the years. I did a little tweaking back when I first processed the shot, but I wanted to keep as much of the charm of the aging process as I could.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Wow, what is all that white stuff?

Is that the same thing as in this picture, cause this is the only place "I" ever see it?

I'm guessing all that snow was photoshopped in. That's how it's done here on RP, right?

It's lovely white snow and I can't wait until it falls here.

73 and sunny here.

Good beach day if there was some surf.

I actually like Jim's shot, it reminds me of the "White Christmas'" that we had at my Grandparents house in Illinois as a kid.

Nice to visit, but shoveling the driveway blows.

That's why you don't shovel the driveway - you blow it. It's not just the railroads that have machines to throw snow!

Most people think I'm crazy when I say this, but I actually enjoy shoveling, very much like I enjoy mowing the lawn or blowing leaves (I own a killer leaf blower). Seeing the result of my labor is very satisfying and the exercise is great, too. Plus, I like to make the neighbors feel jealous because my gf's house has the cleanest driveway on the block (yes, I'm OCD about shoveling, too!. ) And Jon, speaking of blowing...when we get a few inches of powder, I use my leaf blower to clear the driveway and sidewalk.

Count me in also, albeit I much prefer to rake instead of using a leaf blower. Leaf pile waiting in the backyard right now, actually! Hope my kids are in the mood; my daughter will be, my son it just depends.
