I think a few people should be banned for what's happened in this thread.

Although, I was in a crappy mood when I got home, I read this and holy moly. . . . This is pure gold.

It is pretty funny but I still don't think this is what the railroad photography forums should be used for.

I just have to say, if your really fighting because one of you likes EMD and one of you likes GE, go shoot steam or something, or cab cars, or consider that maybe your taking it a bit too seriously.

Pssh, a little fishing line and Mr. Stewart will be able to make a last minute heroic escape. Heck, if you times it close enough you'de probably get a TO24.

Starting with Mr. Stewart! If it weren't for him, none of this would have happened!

You know.. Come to think of it, we haven't heard from HG in a little while.. Perhaps some of your grand suggestions have inspired him to create some dramatic scenes with Mr. Stewart?

I really wonder were some of these kids parents are, and wonder why they are not keeping track of what their adolescents are doing on the Internet.

Especially when they start threatening to "end it all."

Mr. Stewart has advised me to keep my mouth shut.

I have a unique talent in life and that is that I can take a tense situation (points for using that word) such as this and turn in it into a complete melt down.

Naw, ya'all are doing fine without my help.

He is a member in good standing.

The fishing line suggestion does give me an idea though.

Stay tuned on that one.

I don't know. Between using a motorcycle as a plow to make furrows, offering legal advice, modeling for plastic miniatures companies, and being a member of the Fullerton Foamers in good standing, I'm surprised he has time to appear in your shots. And now you want to add fishing?

I just wanted to point out that I think this is great and to acknowledge the creator.

Both you and I are kids trying to fit in an adult hobby; We've both had to learn the hard way to watch what we say.

And yet, you don't seem to have taken that lesson to heart. It's not my desire to pile on or be insulting, but a good many of your posts suggest that you do not, in fact, watch what you say at all. A good rule of thumb, given the age of many of those you're interacting with here, might be to think of it this way. In terms of how you express your thoughts, if it isn't something you'd say to your parents or your schoool teacher, don't say it here.

I'm working on it! But "people" need to drop things. I'll keep a low profile for a while.

Given what has been said in this forum, a lot of people have been FAR from acting their age. This thread has went from a bit overplayed, semi-funny topic, to talking about masturbation and what not. I have to agree with Steven Welch and say that there are quite a FEW people that should be banned for a little while after the comments that have been made in here that are completely irrelevant rail photography. As a matter of fact, it's funny how people cry that they're more mature considering their age, but yet have stooped down to the level of immaturity Daniel and his buddy have shown throughout time. Quite a few of you guys need to take a closer look in the mirror (make sure not to break it ) or I should say the past posts, and recant on some of the things that were said in this thread. Yes, I'm young and I do joke about the inapproprate things that have been said here, but that stays between me and my friends. This is a place to discuss Railroad Photography and that's how it should remain, but the way things are going downhill nobody's going to want Constructive Criticism from a group of so called adults that act like their shots are better than anyone else's and anything else isn't 'worthy', heck that's why I rarely refer to the forum for help anymore...Yea I can handle CC, but I don't do well with the whole pissing contest that goes along with it.

As for Daniel and Pal, here's a little heart to heart my friends...
If you don't agree with what some of the CC the 'adults' in here are giving you...best thing to do is to bite your tongue, man. Trust me, there's times where I would be in the process of typing out a reply, just to end up erasing it to save myself from any flame war. I'm sure there's a couple of people that you could talk to from here via IM or Email that could help you with rejected photos etc. outside this forum, minus the BS. Yes, you have a few more years of maturing to do, but control the outburst. I've been there, done that and you'll eventually look back at this and laugh at some of the stupid comments and actions you've said or done. IMHO, your best bet would be, like I previously mentioned, to find a willing RP contributor that would help you outside the forum with rejections and just stay off the forums for a good time...

I think I've said my peace...

I'm 21, and I'm not mature at all. Heck I work with people that are in their late 20's and 30's that are worse than me.

Ant, I agree with a great deal of what you've said. There are far too many people of every age here who are all to ready to go for the low blow, or to blast someone instead of excerising restraint and letting things pass for the sake of keeping the place and the discussion civilized. The banhammer would indeed be a useful tool in stamping some of that out. Having said that, if you're calling me out for being hypocritical I take exception, as I don't believe I've said anything in this thread that could be construed as uncivil, demeaning or borderline obscene . . .

Ant;

It seems like a lot of people who should know better have spent a lot of time trying to make those two young guys look even worse. (Mind you, I'm not defending those kids either.) But a lot of the replies to those guys are just as bad if not worse. ou know what they say about fighting a pig in the mud. You both get dirty, but the pig likes it!

Im gonna have to agree with Ant on this as well. There are quite a few people that are in their own little bubble on this forum that think they are the s*** just because they have alot of photos and they then think its okay to be complete jerks to others on the forum as well. But I also agree that these kids need to just chill out and learn when not to say something and when its okay to say something. I also agree that a few people on here need to go on a slight banishment trip from the site for awhile. Im not naming names, but some people really need a reality check on here.
