Default New York, Susquehanna & Western

Hi again! In other post I request info about the Trona Railway, now any information about this company is welcome!

Another place I'll go will be NY, I'll have plenty of time ( Ill stay for 10 days in NY) and I understand that in front of Manhattan has its operations company. This shortline has enough movement? I estimate that I will rent a car but as I do to get to see their operations.

Someone offered to make a tour?

Saludos !

Guido, to see the NYSW, you will need to go over to Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. There is a local switch crew working during the day, but they may be using a leased CSX or NS locomotive.

The SU-99 train from there to Binghamton, New York leaves Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. This is the train which uses the NYSW SD60s. The departure should be early enough to still be in daylight for the next few weeks, but it does start to get dark pretty early in New York City as the winter months set in.

Good luck, and enjoy your visit to New York City!
