Thumbs down Really Unlevel? High sun... With THIS scene?!?

Hard to tell with no verticals in the shot, but Thias can vouch here that the curve is banked...

Then, high sun... Even with that scene? C'mon guys!

Thoughts, comments, etc are welcome.

Thanks!

trees on the far bank look tilted right. The distant ones look ok, so it may be level, but it doesn't look right. Plus, the lead engine looks to be on tangent track, the curve having ended where the 2nd unit is.

2nd one, just appeal. RP doesn't like shadowed noses anyway, I disagree but that is just the way RP is.

First one: I'd say oversharpened. The numberboard on the lead unit is pixelated and there're too many jaggies on the hand rails and on the text down the long hood.

Second one: The snow on the mountains is waaaaaaaaaaaay blown out.

I don't care for the second one, Steven. It looks like it's overexposed, the headlight on the toaster looks orange instead of white, and it appears to definitely be suffering from high sun.

Congrats, but bad call on that one. No detail in the snow area. Just my opinion though...

Sometimes I like blown snow...as long as it's not the entire picture.

I played with it in Photoshop at 3AM this morning and never got it right, and about that time I got the e-mail on my phone saying it was accepted... Gave up. Maybe I'll resubmit a better version later.

Thanks guys!

The sun angle at the time was completely blitzing the snow. I had to underexpose by two stops to get it from flashing in the histogram.
