Default If you have nothing to do...

I want to see some of the worst track on railpictures.net. If you have nothing else to do, you can comb the data base and find bad track. I was inspired to post this topic by this photo i saw today. I just cant belive an engine would even stay on the rails.

Keep in mind a lot of these distortions in the track are exaggerated by a telephoto lens. The units usually don't have much trouble negotiating track like this. It is still a neat thread, not trying to take away from that by any means. I think they are really neat shots, and have always wanted to get one like this:

It seems like there is a picture of this same line with a train on it in similar fashion, but I'd have to look for it.

It says that trains still run on that track if you look at the comments. I don't see how that could be.

Yeah, the telephoto lens really does exaggerate things; it's a neat effect on things like rails or 'roller coaster' track.

That's Moorhead JCT. The telephoto makes the rails on the right look horrible, but I don't recall anything like that when I was there...

Very interesting and amusing! I guess there are a lot of us that are bored.

I've always liked ths one, too. This is mainline trackage, although it has since been fixed up. The speed restrictions were many and were slow.
