Default No nose light, any chance?

Hi guys,
I was wondering if this shot had any chance at the database. Yes, theres no nose light but it was shot at a side on angle so the nose is not overly prominent. This was my first attempt at using the channel mixer for B&W conversion, and i think it came out good in that respect.

I'd work on the cropping first. There's too much sky. Check the brightness/contrast. I'm not sure it's as good as it could be. The shot is not to bad. The lighting doesn't bother me, but this is RP and what you may get in the end is a very good shot that still gets rejected.

Thanks for the advice Joe,
I liked the sky so i included more of it (far more interesting than the dead kudzu in the foreground) but i see what you mean. As for the brightness, it got kicked earlier for underexposed so i brightened it, i guess i just need to brighten the foreground as the clouds do look blown out.

A shot at this type of angle does have somewat of a chance (from my short RP expreience) however I aren't crazy on the composition of this photo. One of the main things that bugs me is that the train's head is too far to the right and there is a bit too much sky-nothing cropping can't fix!
