Default Most locos in one RP shot?

What is the most locomotives you have in an RP shot on one train? (Not a dead line or parked in a yard.) I think Chris Starnes has ten. I have seven L&C end cabs.

All working and pulling hard. I once saw 12 units on the NS, though some were yard units being sent elsewhere.

Seven is the best I can do, but I should get bonus points for 2 GP15-1's and the Railpower demonstrator!

No that is probably me, best I can do is three - all working, which is fairly rare in the UK

This one would have had four if I had waited around for the train loco to drop on, but would it count? - these three locos were to be hauled "dead".

Well they were not parked in the yard, they were just heading out as I got there, so I guess that counts, but I got 10,

I believe that six on a single train is tied for my highest, shown in these images:

Here's one with six locomotives total; two leading, two DPUs, and two on the going away train:

After my last post, I realized, if this is going to be made into a contest, we are all probably already beat.

Edit: As far as amount of locomotives pulling a single train!!!

And they are all matched! (I love matched consists) The composition is off a bit, but that was a fun photo to see for the first time.

No, no, no, Chris. That is cheating. They all have to be on one train not three.

Agree 100%. Especially when the locos are Heritage Is or swooshed geeps with the H1 style striping.

If you like those, you might like this one. I would have rather had the SD40-2 leading since the paint was fresh and I like SD40-2s more, but it was still cool to see. It's still the only matched 'swoosh', 'new image' (whatever you want to call it) consists I've gotten.

The most I have ever seen is 5, only on the NS here, my average for NS is usually 3. CSX usually only runs two loco's on the front since there mostly AC powered.

Had to count the fuel tanks in this pic to be sure.

Dave T's got one with 14 locomotives, but I think it was a light power movement. That would still be pretty awesome to see.

That's what I get for not reading the original post thoroughly.

Well, I didn't put a lot of thought into this post. The thread is titled "Most locos in one RP shot?" But then the pst says most on one train. Whatever you guys want to share is fine. I did remember I have an 8 unit lash-up on the L&C in the database. I also caught *ten* SD70MACS up front on a BNSF coal train out in Memphis in 1999, though seven if not eight of them were off line.

But, the train was 140 cars, and you can't see the two DPU's pushing on the rear...

Do I get any extra credits for the shot being taken in Lithuania? A country which amazingly, many people haven't even heard of!
