Default Does a single person waiting for a train constitute foreground clutter?

Got hit with overexposed but also Obstructing Objects (Foreground Clutter) on the below shot.

I assume that is for the woman waiting for the train? I thought she added to the scene..... Thoughts, is this a valid rejection?

The woman certainly adds to the scene, so I wouldn't consider if foreground "clutter" at all.

Or is it the fence that's foreground clutter? If so, there is another train to the left of the fence, so......

It's the fence. I am quite sure. The train in the foreground is blocked by the fence.

If it does turn out to be the fence, well, :roll eyes:.

I've gotta go with the woman on this one. I don't like the way she's right in the middle of the 2 locos.

That's because she's not showing enough skin.

Thanks for the suggestion Ron, but I'm still not sure they won't ding me with foreground clutter. Having only 2 slots a day, I'll probably upload some 'safer' shots today and maybe revisit this later in the week.

Logically, the foreground obstruction has to be based on the fence, not the women closest to the camera.

The women is clear of the rear of the lead unit (the F59PHI) so by the unwritten RP "no blocking the side of the lead unit rule," it must be the fence.

Also, the shot is too bright and lacks contrast, which is what they mean by over exposed.

Yup, mindless wedgie repeats from the same spot, is what the mob wants, and what the mob wants, we shall give them.

You can't appeal because the fence is there, and it is not fixable.

I would suggest shooting trains on the track that is closest to you so there is no fence between you and the train.

I would have liked to see more to the left of the frame. Right now, it's two trains with a woman standing between them. Adding more to the left makes it become two trains at a station shot in the pouring snow and adds less emphasis to the fence.

Unfortunately to the left of the frame is...... another fence!

One person = foreground clutter
More than one person = not foreground clutter

And before the haters open their mouths, I know that was the point of the photo, but are railfan gettogethers more "human interest" than other stuff?

My money is on the fence. Some of you may remember this one I had rejected for foreground clutter a couple of years back:

... plus another 60 or 70 single hits edited out to save space. So he gets 160 or so hits from facebook out of 4707 (at the time I was looking). Is that bad?
