Let's all remember, as was recently pointed out, shortlines and tourist railroads are your ultimate time machine and a lot of operations are small representations of the former greats. The power on some of the Class III's is ridiculously awesome. A-B-A F's in revenue service on the Peoria Western, about the only remaining U18B's on the Pickens, the first generation EMD's in former great's paint on the Hartwell, classic Dash 7's on the TTI, GP9's hauling unit coal on the Ottertail Valley, and many more.
