That is a cool shot - if I took it, I'd probably be on news the next day seeking release from the country...

So - what's MWOTD?

I lost track of all the RP acronyms on Obscar....

Garland McKee's choice for "Mundane Wedgie Of The Day" - which of course tends to mean that they are anything but mundane.

I'm with you on this one. I just stared at the image for about 5 minutes after I opened it. What I find interesting is the barren feeling, even though the image is a cityscape, because of the uniformity of the color of the buildings, and how closely they are packed. I also thought it made an interesting comparison to this image:

The landscape couldn't be more different, but both images gave me a sense of the train in sheer isolation.

I seem to be paying more attention to PCA in the past few weeks than I generally do. I just nominated this one. Lovely backlight. Looks way better full size than in thumbnail.

Maybe I'm just biased because I am a friend of his, but I think this silhouette by Pat Scott is great! The small size doesn't look that impressive, but I think it looks stunning full size. The clouds are very interesting and the sun shines right on the bottom of the second unit.

Yeah, that's really nice. I might vote it a PCA if I didn't have to go search for it.

That's almost as bad as someone going on Facebook and asking for PC votes...

Or a group of forum regulars using the forum to manipulate the PCA voting to, say, get a "piece of paper" the PCA . . .

HEY!!!! The paper was awesome!

And sadly, I think the PCA vote totals aren't as high as we'd like to think. Especially if modest promotion is so beneficial.

It was the "people's choice" - and I think it unfortunately showed just how few people need to vote.

We don't see how many votes needed to win. More or less, compared to what? It seems to me that the images are there, which I expect. I usually don't surprised.

Sorry, I rarely communicate in English, it is not my native language. I am trying to write my thoughts clearly, this is not always successful.

No problem, I just don't understand what you are trying to say.

And you do a better job than I can do in another language.

I just want to say that always excellent pictures (except the "piece of paper") won the PCA. Looks like the system works.

So what's the deal with the photo in pittsburghrailfan's post being removed? What's the whole strory behind this and the claims that pittsburghrailfan is Ian? Can someone elaborate?
