Default Riding the Katy Heritage unit

This past trip, the stars aligned, I was lined up with the IHOYC, a 60 mph train, and it had the UP1988 on the point, better yet my engineer was Dave Sanderbeck, a fellow phoamer. We posed for a couple shots before leaving Dupo yard while waiting for the dispatcher to run a couple trains on the main.

Of course we went in the siding at Gard, IL and Hillsboro, IL on the Pana Sub, so more photos were taken. The dispatcher told us of a broken rail at Tuscola, IL so we headed in that direction, the train ahead of us went in emergency, and we sat at Findlay, IL while they fixed the rail. We finally tied it down at Tuscola when there were no crews rested at Villa Grove, IL to take the train North to Chi-town. Here are the photos from the night...

Dave's shot kicked my shot's ass. I really thought his was neat. However, is any shot with Dave pictured something you can call "good?"
