Default Photographer Profiles Introduced

Hello all,

I'm proud to announce the introduction of a new feature for RailPictures.Net photographers, public Photographer Profiles. Now, you can have a link included under every one of your images to your profile, where you can list things such as your interests, camera equipment, favorite photos in the database, etc. etc.

You can find the link to set up your profile in the Members section under "Edit User Profile." There's a big, red NEW! title next to it to make it a bit easier to find.

An example of a completed user profile can be seen at this link: http://www.railpictures.net/members/...ofile.php?id=2

I hope you enjoy the new feature!

I tried it, clicked on the tab on one of my pictures, and went to some generic profile on jetphotos.net.

It appears it is linking to jetphotos member ID 1610, instead of railpictures member ID 1610

D'oh.. I'm sorry about that. The downfalls of programming while you're at work and the boss is 10 feet away.

It should be fixed now.

If you notice any other bugs, please let me know! Thanks!

Awsome new feature! Thanks, Chris!

I noticed it says "aviation photography" under the text field for "Cameras Used".

Also the word "lens" is incorrectly spelled "lense."

I like that it lets you pick three of your favorite pics taken by other people! Cool.

Thumbs up

I agree with everyone that this is a great enhancement to the site. Fun! Only problem was deciding on my favorite photos of other people's work. Now THAT was a challenge. It's tough to narrow down your selection from several hundred to just three!!

It would be awesome to see if someone else has picked one of your photos as a favorite...any way to get that implemented? I'd guess no...(just a pipe dream)

CNW;

I was thinking about that, too. And for just a small fee, I can put one to three of your shots...... OK, just kidding.

LOL

I also like the idea of being able to see if someone had placed one of your own photos as one of their favorites. Any way to do that guys ? You guys get an " AT'A Boy " for the improvements you've made to the site recently, Keep up the great work.
