Lightbulb Can You Believe This Was Rejected?

So what do you think I could do to get this on the Site?

Reason(s) for Rejection: - Poor Esthetic Quality: This rejection reason means that the photo is of low esthetic qualities, or is simply not the type of material we are wishing to publish.

Moto-Cross Champion James Stewart Watches a Westbound Stacker - New Years Eve 2010 Series

Moto-Cross Champion James Stewart Watches a Westbound Stacker - New Years Eve 2010 Series

While trapped in a sand berm along side Highway 138 in the Cajon Pass near C.P. Summit for an undetermined period of time ( follow this link ) moto-cross racer James Stewart gained an appreciation for the hobby of ralfaning.

Consequently, he became a hard core railfan once he was rescued and now plans to tour Southern California watching and photographing trains.

Here Mr. Stewart spends a chilly New Years eve watching a Westbound stack train pound through the station at Fullerton California in route to the Port of Los Angeles.

You're wasting our time with this absurd rant toward the screeners. And if you really uploaded that shot, you're wasting the screeners time too. We probably all get a lot of shots on that others don't think should be on. Just move along.

Thank you for your thoughts.

However, I and a few others are having fun engaging in one of humanities favorite pastimes and social bonding mechanisms - complaining.

Please don't be offended if we continue.

I think that would apply to anyone who posts on this board and other Internet boards.

Not to mention those who sit out in the middle of nowhere for hours waiting to photograph a train.

Exclamation

Some people go to football games or watch it on TV, some people do puzzles or play bridge, some people quilt or go to NASCAR races, some go to titty bars and others do this:

Especially playing bridge. For that you actually need to have friends, or at least people that will sit at a table with you for some period of time.

I would love to play bridge at a booby bar, while watching football...

If you mean my shot with the toy, no, that is a separate project.

If you have ever tried to photograph toys especially action figures, it is not as easy as one might think.

Especially in natural light.

Mostly experimenting at the moment with Mr. Stewart.

This shot was actually during a lull in the action due to a stuck switch.

I am pretty sure it wasn't actually submitted. I didn't see a rejection link.

I think not to this getting accepted.

With all due respect, is that something you think you would see on the database?

The screener's have been accepting "ridiculous stuff" as said by some people. By submitting this, I think you have the idea in your head that the screener's are going to accept it?

Just saying, I may be wrong.

I think they would be setting a bad precedent if they accepted something like that. The focus of this website is supposed to be on the trains, not an action figure. If you could have found a way to have the train in focus too, and the figure off to the side, maybe that would have worked better.

Lightbulb You know what I like about this post?

I reminds me that at least two or three people who read these forums don't snort glue on a daily basis.

Yes you are right and you were able to articulate your opinion on the subject in less than 1000 words and for that I commend you.

I think the submitted shot stinks for a number of reasons and am working on refining Mr. Stewart's portfolio.

James Stewart Waits for the Metrolink

As far as setting precedence, what I have observed over the recent weeks is that there is no precedence.

Thanks for the kind words and I too think the train needs to be in focus.

When I opened this thread, I was shocked that everybody was panning this shot. As light as day its a winner to me. I look forward to voting for it as my PCA. Will pull my shots as protest if not.
