Ha ha ha ha ha!! Not only that, the temp dropped to 7F with winds straight out of the north at 23MPH (I'm too lazy to figure out the wind chill). The sad thing was that I wasn't wearing my heavy winter goose-down filled parka as it was 33F when I had woken up!

BTW, the wife had just received her Valentine's gift and rose, personally hand delivered to her work, unannounced, prior to these shots being taken. Plus, an hour after this shot, we were having a nice Valentine's dinner!

Railfanning and marriage: a delicate balancing act that should only be left to the insane!

It looks like it is -14. That's nice and refreshing.

Yeah, and those trains were running due south, so that menat the wind was right in my face! BTW, was that the 'new' wind chill tool you were using?

Also, I need to point out, that if I were to go out on Valentine's day with the intent of shooting the UP, my wife has every right to enact on me a little something I like to call justifiable homicide...

I feel warmer already.

EDIT: I just saw that ND Chris made the front page "Latest News & Hot Photos" scroll. Now he can prove to his wife it was important to get those shots.
