Default Bad Cropping Help

This one got rejected for bad cropping any ideas on making it better

Steam = plume. Don't crop the plume.

OK, this isn't, by far!, the most egregious crop I have seen. But you had a choice of filling your frame at the top with sky and plume (and wire, it appears) or at the bottom with blah grass and pavement, and I think you chose poorly.

I was unaware the Walkersville Southern was firing up some steam; I doubt I will get a chance to run up there this weekend, but I will try.

The second one is better, but now it's too tight on the bottom. Also, maybe it's this monitor, but both your shots look a little off color-wise to me.
