Default It Just Dawned On Me...

That in 10 days, I'll be of legal age (in the state of Georgia) to visit a well known establishment along my infamous 6th Street!

Now if I could just convince that establishment to allow me to bring my camera inside the place:

We'll see what happens!

Sorry for going a little off topic, but I had to do it!

Wow! I had no idea you needed to be of age to visit Silbert Auto Supply. That is the place you were referring to, right?

The concept has the potential for the highest views ever at RP. I think you'd have to part with some serious cash if you want to set it up.

You can have boobs in your face and you are still worried about trains?

Priorities man.

You will get "shot of the millennium" if you can frame one of the NS F units and a stripper on a pole in the same shot.

In fact, Chris should give you a special award for it. Somehow, someone who is relegated to a yahoo group now would find fault in it, but you would get a PCA vote from me.

This has some serious potential. A nudie bar and a train. I would think for a couple of bills the "entertainers" could be convinced this is a good idea and maybe a few more bills for the train crew to stop outside the door for "lunch" or something.

The "top shot of the millennium" could be here shortly. It may even become the banner for the new RP.Net homepage.

It's funny, the CSX yard in Tampa, Yeoman Yard is literally a few hundred FEET from about 8 strip clubs, but they face a highway and the yard is behind them or across the street from them and there is a line of trees making a shot like that just about impossible.

Just be careful... even bringing out a phone will get you an unpleasant visit in most places...

I personally have had a problem with those trying to tell us to turn railroad photography into an "art form." It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG

Yeah... you don't just walk into a titty bar and whip out your big lens.

He needs to make sure his lap dance is in front of the window overlooking the train tracks.

Assuming you could find a booby bar with windows.

Sounds like you've done your homework scoping it out.

I do my due diligence

As far as the camera goes, 2 words: DAY SHIFT

They are a lot more lenient about certain "rules" during the day (many rules). But talent is not as good, so it's a give and take. Don't ask me how I know that.
