Why yes it is.

I agree with it personally. I see a lot of noise too. Thought about doing a hard bw conversion?

I'm not to worried. I like the shadow of the truss more than anything in the image. The noise in this one doesn't bother me for this scene. Black and white might work but I feel the color offsets how much black is already in the image.

Compositionally weak in my view, sorry to say, not seeing it. Focal points are lit walls in the distance. The engine's presence is too weak for my tastes.

I don't mind it. I'm biased towards the darker side of things though. It goes with your style Travis, it still works. Guess it won't work for RP, though.

Travis,

What do you like about the photo? I ask, and please don't take this the wrong way, because I really don't like anything about the photo, at all.

To each their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, etc... Just curious whats going through other photographer's mind.

The black on white is harsh and does take a lot away from it. 6 down here it looks better. http://www.therailroadcollection.com/latest-works/

I understand the rejection and I didn't think it would get on here. What I like about it is the sense of motion, the somewhat creepy feeling of being in a back alley or something looking through the dark as this train sweeps through. I also like the truss detail in the shadow on the side of the locomotive that helps tell the story of what is in the darkness. Not a favorite, just a unique image. I guess its more about the feeling of the being in the dark that I like.
