Not calling out the photographer or anything, but I thought RP was against trespassing.

SHOOTING while trespassing. Not shooting trespassers.

I do see the difference, but it's rewarding trespassing either way, either by him getting his 15 minutes of fame on the website, or the photographer getting a better shot by trespassing.

Yeah, there are a lot of "trespassing" photos on RP.

Shooting trespassers? That'll get you in deep doo-doo up here in the Great White North!
Had this accepted, but was asked by Operation LifeSaver to have it removed. I complied with their request. The OLS gentleman who contacted me also said he was going to contact CN about it. Life is just no fun anymore!

I mean I see the point, but up at Agawa these shenanigans were all part of the experience in the past.

The truth about trespassing is that in 99.999999% of cases, nothing happens. Statistically, it's probably more dangerous to cross a street than a railroad.

Shhhhh! Mathieu, you're stating the obvious when it's not politically correct to do so!

Isn't that foreground track an old mainline or something? Doc from "Back to the Future" could come flying down that track.

Foreground track is a siding. Trains do use it to run around the tour train, primarily the NB daily freight if it's running late. Staff make sure the line is clear if this happens. The track that you can't see - the one I stood on to take the shot is a back track. Oh, no you say! I'm trespassing! Well I was actually camping right on that track all week, in an old WC caboose/MoW car that's put there for that exact purpose. I guess it would be trespassing - if they hadn't charged me an arm and a leg for the privilege!

Well yeah and you get awesome shots, but it only takes one dumbass to ruin it for everyone.

Yeah, no one ever freaks out about the millions of pedestrians in this country that stand on curbs just a few feet away from speeding traffic every...single...day.
