Default Question on horizon

Hi! I was wondering why this one was rejected for bad horizon. I leveled it to the pole to the right of the lead unit. It was also rejected for bad angle but I think I have an appeal for that. Any suggestions on the horizon though? Thanks

That's assuming the pole is vertical, which many times is not the case. What I always suggest when this topic comes up is to take a little window of any kind on your computer screen and drag it over to a vertical part of your picture, like the side corner of the cab. Since the side of the window is going to be vertical, that gives you an idea of how far off or not the tilt is. In this case, it appears things are leaning to the right a little bit. As for the bad angle, that is subject to the opinion of the screener, so you may want to tilt the pic and then appeal it for that reason.

If you look at the left side of the boxcar compared with the left margin of the image, it is tilted slightly.

If you have a version of this shot that isn't cropped so tight, I would level it, then submitt that one. Translation -- I think it's cropped too tight. I think it's a good shot, it's tack sharp and I like those units on lead.
