Default The Age Old Question...

So, Jim Thias got me thinking from some e-mails as to one of my street running shots in B&W. So, when I was going through my shots, I found this one, which I can't decide if it should be in B&W or color.
The color has that cool orange light that I really like, but the B&W has a certain striking quality to it. I should add that the B&W has a red filter applied using the photo filters option on PSE.

I don't think it has quite enough contrast to work as a B+W. The sunlight almost looks filtered in the first one.

Mike, I think this is another one that probably works better in color just because of the contrasting reds and yellows.

Somehow the shadow is more pronounced in the b&w.

The red filter increases the contrast significantly in a B&W photo.

Right now, a large majority seems to be pulling for the color version of the shot, so I think I'll be submitting that version.

Thanks a lot!
