Default And now for something completely different...

...Joliet Union Station from Silver Cross Stadium(with bits of randomness inserted in). Today I tried shooting the area around JUS from the home of the Joliet Jackhammers, with some success. My brother had gotten free tickets to the game through the school, so my whole family trekked out to go see the game, with myself having the sole intent of watching trains from the stadium.
First off, I spied this train waiting for the station platform and diamond to clear.

Then came I spotted this train as it pulled into JUS. Since JUS is the end of the line for the Rock Island trains, it came back several minutes later, but I managed to cut off the pilot.

Undaunted, our hero plunges on.....
I then waited a bit for another train here, composed my shot better, and got the shot.

Then the stormfront that had been looming ever closer, finally came. The wind picked up, and thunder began to roll.
The local which had been sitting waiting for the diamond to clear finally came through.

Then one of the Heritage Corridor trains came through.

Then, finally the outbound Statehouse pulled in about 40 minutes late. It stopped to wait for the platforms and diamond to clear, and I snapped off several pictures. These were my favorite pics of the day.

By now, the wind had really picked up and it had begun to rain. Lighning was moving closer and a rain delay was called, so my family decided to call it a day, and thus we departed Silver Cross Stadium.
