As far as I can tell, the only person who mentioned not caring was Wayne, and one can certainly interpret his comment to be specific to RP uploading. Even if not, hey, he's just one person! And rhetoric is rhetoric, however sloppy; no one here is writing doctoral dissertations on this forum.

Oh dear God... I was making a bourbon induced observation from what only a couple people have said on Facebook, my bad. Anyway.... I do care my main goal is to one day catch the Interstate, NW, Southern, and Virginan, engines on their home rails... Even if its only for a personal collection, I don't really shoot just for RP... I mean I'm surprised any of my stuff gets accepted.

Given the part of the world we're talking about, I'd suggest gin and tonic instead. Prevents malaria . . .

one website indicates that it takes 67 liters/day to achieve the prevention!

But it only takes about 2 liters a day not to care.

Not once did I say I don't care about the heritage units. I love most of them! But in my opinion, all 20 of them together looked "dumb." I'd much rather shoot them out on the road!

I've said this before, but I went to Spencer just to see all these strange beasts in one place at the same time. I also enjoyed seeing all the heritage units.

My preference would be to capture images of the various NS units in their "home" territory. We'll have ten years or more to accomplish that, so rest assured we'll be peppered with heritage foam on RP for a very long time.

As a Western folk, if I don't ever make my way East, I'll just wait for BNSF to snatch one or two of the Heritage units and wait for them to come out to Colorado

I don't like rum, I'll just stick to a Mint Julep, made with Maker's Mark.

That's better! More opinion, less snark.

Agreed.....

But did Ron see "strange beasts," or those strange beasts.

The world may never know.

Actually, I saw both strange beasts and (as reminded by your latest avatar), strange breasts.

Is it me or are people from the vicinity of Napoleon/Defiance Ohio area more cranky/ opinionated than the average contributor here? Its just a question based on observations that some people are not in the happy zone....

For the record Spencerstock was fun. Was it perfect? No it was hot, but a lot of friends were there, and contrary to other opinions, together, all the units looked stunning. The sum was greater than the pieces, and made a hell of a statement about NS, and how things have changed about their corporate culture. Good thing the people that matter at NS didn't get your memo, not that they would have cared anyway......

Yes, I would concur on that.

Although, it is really only about three people who are cranky 99% of the time.
