Colors in Photoshop do not match Railpictures.net

I am using Photoshop 7 to adjust my photos. When I upload them, they become much brighter and the colors change.

Have you had this problem, and how do you work around it?

Quick and dirty...you might be editing your shots in Adobe RGB and most web browsers display in sRGB.

I have checked the color profile and it seems to be in sRGB. However, there are no messages about profile conversions when I open or close files; what am I missing?

My copy of Photoshop Elements 2 has a calibration tool included. I don't know about Photoshop 7, but if you have a help search tool in 7, look up "calibrate monitor" and Photoshop will help you get close to what you need.
