Default Morant's Curve, and what we shoot

I was reading this piece on what to shoot and what to capture

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/es....shtmlcapture:

and as you can see, there is a shot of Morant's Curve! Seeing a train shot in a non-train forum is a bit jarring. Investigating a bit further, the photographer is not a train photographer as far as I can tell but he did go up to the curve to catch a steam train and shot a few images.

http://www.georgebarr.com/page25/pag...39/page39.html

Some nice stuff all around the site - I tend to like shots of that style. I didn't look at the entire set of galleries but I didn't see any other train shots. I think a lot of the shots are creative and artistic, but the train shots themselves are conventional snow Morant's shots, which means of course they are beautiful but I think even I would get those shots were I there at the same time.

Anyway, as info, mainly just the surprise to see a few train shots in a non-train portfolio, and one illustrating a non-train essay. And the essay itself is interesting.

Also, never buy a fuji for the reasons outlined in the picture above.

Winter, fall, spring, they're all the same thing. It's just the colour of the grass and leaves that's different!
Well, a bit of an exaggeration. We're pretty much at the start of fall now, (precipitation rare), by the end of October it will be cold with no snow, snow starting to collect (and get melted by chinooks) as we go into the deep freeze in December/January, culminating in a lot of really wet snow unpredictably to the end of May.
