I was looking through my personal collection tonight and came across some shots I'd like to share. There all pretty much cloudy and dark but still worth sharing.

Too bad you didn't get the lead where the BNSF unit is. Or did you? The shadows and fall colors are great.

Thats a seperate stretch of track where the CP unit is on. Thats Guilford Rail System's track from East Deerfield, MA to Mohawk, NY ...The track with the BNSF unit leading is CSX's Chicago Line from Selkirk, NY to points west.

Theres only a handful left on BNSF so its pretty rare and its even more rare to find one leading a CSX train in the Eastern US.

Aside from the number they have put to an early grave playing demolition derby with other trains, don't they still retain all that started out on the ATSF?

OK, that is about how many they started with. I think they have altered the physical well being of three or four.

I guess, though I have no idea what sort of injuries or fatalities may have come as a result of these wrecks.

Well, at least the crew had a better chance than a spartan cab...in theory.

Hopefully the theory tested well in the field and not just the lab.
