It's about $82 per megapixel. At that price, a D1 would have been about $221 and a D300s should be $984. Check out full size sample shots at http://nikonrumors.com/, about half-way down the page.

And my 50D would be $1230. So a little pricey from my view, not too bad.

I'm not in the market for this beast but there will be some happy campers out there this year, if they are oblivious enough not to realize how much lighter their wallets are!

Grumpy http://blog.grumpysworld.com/ already has his. I guess if one was quick, Best Buy had some for a short time. So far, my spouse says Noooooooooooo!
