Default Too dark...

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if I should spend any more time with this shot or just let it go? Suggestions?

Thanks,

Perhaps tweaking the contrast to be the black a bit blacker?

Yes, for sure. Besides getting it a bit brighter, and yes like Marcus said, increase the contrast (maybe the latter is enough), I would suggest cropping right and top. As of now the image is a bit out of balance, left-heavy, and also the train is sort-of exiting the frame, which isn't as pleasing as entering it. And the top of the sky is not contributing anyway. You can crop top and right and still have the nose in a left rule-of-thirds position.

Hi Tim,
Yes, spend more time on it!
I tried upping the contrast, but the blacks are pretty light. Did you lighten shadows or ?? to get it lighter?
The histogram shows a heavy centre, so I adjusted the levels inward and upped the contrast. Probably over did it, but what do you want for a quick edit
