Default Why does 1/3 Backlit...nose...beat 2/3?

Any hope here? A bridge rebuild years ago made this shot possible.....it won't be repeated. Brown line trains were rerouted onto the Red line.

There's a lot going on in that shot, and several reasons for it to be rejected to be honest. The image quality and sharpness isn't great due to the heat distortion. The cropping could use some work as well. The composition is kind of a mess due to all subjects being crammed together and blocking each other. It also looks like it could use .2 or so of CW rotation.

As for the actual rejection. I get it, but I would have rejected it for the other reasons first.

I like it a lot, but without the partial railing in the front, if this is a crop, I would crop just before the signals(ie no railing). I suppose if you had an earlier frame before the Roosevelt train crossed over and centered on the signal, that would be better.

Of course to me, it really says CTA for some one else??? I better not say what I think of back lit rejections.

How about "Handy catch-all rejection for shots the screener does not really care for." ?

First, thanks to all for your suggestions. I realize the signals are a "no-no" but I pointed in my explanation that they show a definite relationship to the action going on....the Brown line train crossing in front of the Red line train giving protection from any reverse move. Countless others have dealt with backlit noses with all the triangular locomotive faces out there. I resubmitted so we'll see what happens. Thanks again.
