Default Needs some opinions from some of my non-fans

Find me 10 photos from the past 3 months that I have on the DB that you find are way too edited. (Not including Morant's Curve shots, I'm re-uploading them anyway)
I will then re-edit them, except nowhere near as much, and re-upload them.
Who wants to help!

Hi Matt, I'm not a non-fan, it's just that I'm simply one person that doesn't necessarily care for a lot of saturation ALL of the time. Sometimes it works for me, and other times it doesn't.

It doesn't really matter what we all think of your shots, as long as you're happy with them. (where have I heard this before??...)

Keep what you like and if you want to change your approach a little on your next outing or post-processing binge, then do it then. I wouldn't change anything based on what a dozen or two people here think.

Matt, some of the photos wouldn't be quite the same without the editing that you did. My opinion, whether or not others will agree with me or not, is to leave you photos that are on here as they are. Your photos are awesome either way.

There's no need to! The shots that I think appear to be overdone in my tastes were both nominated as PCA #1s, so you must be doing something right!

I wouldn't worry about any non-fans. You can't please everyone! Plus, it's good to have a balance of people that are fans and those that are critical. If everyone liked your work, then we'd get bored with it. And if everyone hated it, well, either you're a misunderstood genius or your photos are terrible. I'd rather have opposing viewpoints discussing their attributes at length.

I personally think you're doing just fine where you are. Your photos are engaging, coloful, and have a lot of pizazz. I'm just one that likes my colors a little more conservative.

Not necessarily. Anyone can vote for PCAs, not just people who know the ins and outs of post processing. It's kinda like comparing the winners from the People's Choice Awards and the Screen Writer's Guild...

EDIT: Let me clarify: I'm not a non-fan...I like the scenes and the composition of Matt's shots very much; I just don't like the super-saturated colors and feeling like I'm on an acid trip!

I don't know much about the Screen Writer's Guild, but if the general public are voting for shots that seem over-processed, then it seems there's a whole group of visitors that seem to like them. This just goes to show that the true critics are those that simply just look and enjoy the pictures, and not necessarily those that provide an insider's technical mumbo-jumbo about them.

I can see why people would be attracted to all of that acid-infused color; it looks "outta this world" and "new and improved". But to me however, it's just a quick "trip" and a novelty and that's about it, just like the all of the acid-infused colors of the late 60s. Who knows, maybe I'm just a stick in the mud fuddy-duddy.

I'm not sure of the stats as far as how many votes are cast for the PCAs, but perhaps getting a PCA isn't what it's cracked up to be...

Well, if you are looking for help from a critics eye then I will gladly help. I've mentioned two of your shots in previous posts that just don't look right to me. Those are really the only two photos out of your collection that stand out as maybe being a little over the top in regards to post production compared to your other material. I wouldn't let anyone influence your style too much though. If you are happy with your results then leave them be.

On another note, I really like this photo. It is a very unique angle. Also, the late day sun lights the scene nicely and the ever so slightest hint of motion blur on the front of the lead unit works out perfectly.

Your photos have character, and to me that is the ultimate goal. I dont want to offend anyone, but seeing plain roster shots all the time is boring. Its the shots that are different and push the envolope so to speak, that are the ones that make things interesting. I would leave your shots alone. I can only dream about taking and editing shots like that right now!

Well they made it on here RP. But what are us, the guys and some gals that put photos on here bugged about. Mostly they LOOK over worked, They stand well on there own with out being over worked. You have some damn nice shots. I don't care if you rework the ones on here, you have to pick what you want to show us. They look a bit flat? with the same tone, mostly midtones .

http://r61176.spaces.live.com/?黄大仙十二生肖波色生肖网公开一肖
