The picture below has been rejected for Poor Aesthetic Quality.

Comparing my photo to some other ones that have been accepted in the database, I am surprised by this decision. A few examples of similar shots are attached below. Nothing against you El Roco, Dennis and Mitch, my thread is all about the inconsistency of the screening.

Oh, I forgot. My picture has not been taken in the US.

"Oh, I forgot. My picture has not been taken in the US." That about sums it up!

Everyday life in one of the poorest countries on the planet. Excellent capture.

Daniel,
Has you know from a long time, this the best rejection reason when a picture is not to screeners taste even if not American.

I don't advocate for appealing often, but this is one time I do.

How can you say RP screening is inconsistent? This kind of thing happens all the time, lol.

I'd appeal - hopefully, admin will come to their senses. Jeeze-Louise, even if the above examples were not enough, as a long time and well revered contributor, haven't you yet earned some leeway?

I concur with everyone else. Not only is it similar to accepted shots, it has the added bonus of some genuine human interest. I think this should be accepted.

Isn't it nice for once to see a rejected shot that is as good, if not better, than the accepted examples posted?

No doubt. I agree, it should be accepted in the database.

Congratulations! And a TO24, to boot.

It amazes me on a daily basis that the screeners reject some of the most interesting subjects because the subjects don't fit their model.

Yes Daniel, what is incredible is that a rejected picture qualified of poor aesthetic quality find his public and make more than 2000 views few days after acceptance !

I have the same case where this one have more than 5600 views (more than 2000 the first 24 hours) and was rejected a lot of time :
