Default Hello, RailPictures.

Hi, everybody. I'm "new". Remember River Rails Photography? Well thats me. I would really like to forget my past on the forum. I love trains and I want to be able to talk with others about the hobby without having every post be broken down into criticism. Please, give me a chance to prove that I can handle being here. I am a regular on another forum, the internets largest Mac forum, and I have a great reputation there. I have, from the experience of being there almost a year and with 1,023 posts, gained some knowledge on what is acceptable and what is not. I also thought it should be noted that, I have gotten much better with photography. I am an owner of a Nikon EM film SLR, and a Nikon E Series 50mm lens. I've also become quite good at playing the guitar.

So, lets start fresh. Thanks.

Sorry, you wasted too much of our time in the past. Goodbye!

Well, I think he went about it the wrong way. Instead of announcing to the world that he was River Rails, who had been banned several times before, he should have just continued to post under the radar until his new screen name was established here. If he wanted to prove that he was no longer guilty of the original bannable offenses, then he should have kept his identity to himself for the time being. Maybe then Kilroy and Starnes would have reconsidered their opinions on his past behavior.

I like honesty though, he was very honest about his case.

Agreed .... maybe I am just agreeable these days.

Odd, though, to ban someone who comes forward honestly and may (or may not!)have intended to do the best he can the time, and then we still have someone around who brings back expired threads from 2008 and contributes essentially nothing to them, raisechaice1968 or whatever the id is. Maybe that is a pet peeve of mine.
