The #7002 in the museum isn't the real #7002, that one was scrapped by accident so they found an almost identical engine and renumbered it and all knowing it would be kept to be put on display. I believe the number of the one in the RRMoPA is #8083 but I could be wrong. Note* Saw this on the DVD of the doubleheader yesterday.

Steam Comes to the South Carolina Railroad Museum

That's the first I had seen of it on line. I'd been hearing unofficial word for a few months. I'm hoping to see a media release come out soon.

I'm working with an AMC Pacer. I have the flux capacitor, now I need a Nuc-o-Matic, since plutonium is at a premium right now.

Can a Pacer get up to 88 mph? Or 48?

You'll probably have to throw it off a high cliff, and row with an oar out the window.. but it'll get there.... once

I'd blame the owner for that problem, not diesels themselves.

I have mixed feelings. I love steam, but I do agree that it mostly looks out of place today. That why I love those shots of CP 2816 on Morant's Curve:

It looks pretty much like it would have back in the days of steam.

In the end, though, I voted for steam, 'cause it looks and sounds frickin' awesome!
