I guess that RP is what it is - and a lot of the time it's a lottery.

My last few rejections have all been pictures that have done really well in the U.K.,most of them appearing in magazines.
The shot below was rejected for Composition (Balance),however ,the loco is positioned just where I wanted it to be. Not to RPs taste obviously but it's not a problem,I like it and it's done exceptionally well this side of the pond.

It's always a gamble, but it's still fun. When it stops being fun,it's time to find another hobby.

If it is a rejection that form of link doesn't work? Has to be in DB. Can just attach a jpg?

It is good forum practice to link to the rejection itself, rather than provide just the image. Copy the URL of the rejection and put it in the next post as a link.

Tastes vary; I'd would at least consider making it looser on the left and bottom, and that patch of bright colorful grass on the right edge is distracting. I might have given it a bad crop rejection.

It's OK, seems a bit cramped but I can't put my finger on the exact reason.

Default How do we know how popular a photo is anyway

I suspect it's one reason why, with some of the screeners at least, overseas train photos seem to have a higher bar for acceptance. That certainly is the perception anyway from what I have been told from many members world-wide. I dare say Jean-Marc is right in his crusade - even if he does get more leniency than most of us here.
I doubt number of views is an accurate indicator of how popular a photo is, especially when a photo has favorites but no views. I've noticed this on several of my photos and it is possible that they have been favorited from thumbnail and I often do this myself. But I have viewed full size and then favorited many photos that show no views such as right now. I have refreshed page and the image shows 1 favorite but no views. I went out of RPN completely and back in and still same. Has anybody else noticed this?

Yes the screening can be a bit of a lottery and that is why I try sometimes several times. Probably most my RPN images were initially rejected. I have had same rejection experience with calendar photos and even this magazine cover photo...

I think you are seeing an RP technical hiccup and not "I doubt number of views is an accurate indicator of how popular a photo is". The zeros happen from time. Things will get reset. Just another day in RP world.
