Default New Avatar and Signature

I spent some time on my new avatar and signature.

They feature my four favorite photos.

I'm quite happy with the result.

What do you guys think?

I know I will! How did you make the avatar do a slideshow of your pics?

Haha,

great to see everyone is interested.

I used a program called Animation Shop 3.
If you have that software it's a breeze.

If you don't, send them pics over and I'll make one for you.
it's that easy,

ICE, you mind if I send you some pics? If not, is there a maximum number I can upload (thinking of uploading 5) and/or a maximum size?

Ok guys, there's a problem. The program I used no longer works, thus I can't make it for anyone.

However it's really simple if you have the software, so whoever wants a animated avatar, just follow these steps:

Go to http://www.jasc.com/trialreg.asp?pid=003
Follow the insturctions and download Animation Shop 3

Once that's done, open the software and...

1. Click File -> Animation Wizard
2. Read the instuctions (generally select "Transparent", "Centered" and a speed of "75")
3. Add all the pictures you want in your animation (best if they are all the same width and height and not exeed 100 pixels)
4. Click "Next" and "Finish"
5. Now you should be back in the Animation Shop window, with all the selected images in row
6. Click View -> Animation to see what your finished product looks like
7. Click File -> Save and Type Name.gif (GIF is important!)
8. Select the most optimal and biggest file size for best quality

And you're done! If the file size is too big to upload here, don't worry. Send it to me via e-mail and I will host the avatar for you on my webspace, and give you an URL which you can remote link to this site.

Please do not hesistate if you have any questions or encounter problems.
I feel very bad to not be able to follow up on my promise....

Anyways, try it, it's actually quite fun and easy.

Its ok ICE, I understand. I got your e-mail this morning explaining what had happend.

Thanks for the link and the for the additional instructions. But I'll need you to host my avatar, since I don't not have my own webspace.

Ok, last time I made a 9 frame one with highest quality and it was only like 40K. So...I could probably host like....uh...math...nevermind, thousands!

Actually it's very simple. I think if you can use Microsoft Word, Power Point, or FrontPage, that Animation Shop is a breeze....especially for this project.
