Default Levelling help

OK. I've double checked this against the platform canopy supports (right hand side - the only thing in the scene that can be relied on to be straight) and appealed but it still got rejected....

Anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance....

Use the radiator at the back of the engine. Looks like it's leaning to the right ever so slightly.

That "ghost" in front of the engine's cab is pretty distracting, too.

Gee, I really like that.

It has the quality of an illustration, rather than a photo.

Well, after a 0.4 degree CW rotation it got knocked back again....

Do you think it needs a little more? I'm just worried that the roof supports will start to look wrong. The thing in India is the tracks are very rarely level!

I would say CCW is needed. You said you went CW.
IMO make the rear corner of the locomotive vertical and the rest should fall into place. If you can go a little wider on the right so as to not cut off awkardly or loose that poster/sign thing on the post.

Cool "ghost" effect!

I think the rear of the engine is vertical! At least the radiator grill area, which I examined at 400% zoom. I suspect part of the problem is that the verticals on the nose aren't vertical in real life; aren't they sloping in a bit, isn't the base of the short hood wider than the top?

Anyway, to me this is an appeal and goes in the bulging RP-screener-crazy-nitpick file.

In my opinion, now it needs a little , CW about 0.15 deg.

Definitely one of the most nit-picky unlevel rejections I've ever seen, especially since unlevel pics are often accepted on a daily basis that are much more obvious. This is one of those times where I wish the screener would post in the thread to describe what he sees.

Edit: And right on cue, there is a photo on the front page that has an obvious lean to the left.
