Is this acceptable by RP standards?

To me personally. The car being there is extremely annoying. Also, the background isn't helping as a background for the blurred cars. Right idea, wrong application IMO.

The car actually kills this for me. Do the same thing with interesting background would work.

I had a couple of other shots where I panned the train and car is blurred along with it. Unfortunately, they aren't sharp. This location is so wide open and undeveloped yet, I can get the houses above the couplers, but there's still a lot of sky.

Not quite sure what the main focal point is in this image. It seems to be a "grab" shot more than anything else. Needless to say, I don't think it stands a chance.
