I just assume that anyone who favorites my photos has impeccable taste, not that they are out to steal them and run off to Mexico.

Speaking of er, interesting favoriters, you forgot this guy:

http://www.railpictures.net/members/...e.php?id=26454

Posting photos the way Mitch did on a previous post just ruins the whole viewing experience, personally. It is a shame that people have to resort to such methods to prevent pictures from being stolen. But at the same time, most people really don't have any notion of quality. Witness the cell phone camera.

Got to put in a plug for Dans Camera. Scott got back to me and I'm now the 4th place winner on their contest page! If their retail service is as quick and pleasant as their online response to me, they deserve your business if you are in their area.

I decided not to get greedy and ask for a prize, I figured they got snookered through no fault of their own.

Glad the story has a happy ending, Michael! Being a native of the Lehigh Valley myself, I'll second your endorsement - great service, smart staff, and good stock. Dan's also recently (last two years or so) won a pretty big award in some trade magazine, if I recall.

I personally see no problem with them favoriting photos, but I do find it a bit excessive.

shuttercal.com has yet to act or to even respond to my email ...

maybe someone can send me Mr. Viohl's email? He seems responsive, at least.

but didn't he actually take down a page, flickr or something, in response, as well as deliver the generic email?

Yes he did send out this e-mail " I asked them to take my account down - most of the pics are mine. But the
temptation was there. I caved in to it. I am arrogant and disingenuous."

It was either him or flickr that took it down, im guessing him.

Lets put it this way... Word of advice... Don't submit uncorrected shots, and brag about it.

Feels good to be back, I have been going insane talking to Walter S. for the past 2 weeks...

I have been away from the forum for a while.............. Where is Mike?? I really miss all the entertainment he provided. Without his insightful & sensitive responses to some of the more pressing questions, I find myself spending too much time watching the paint peel on my back porch.

BANNED?? Whatever for? Such a nice guy, pleasant demeanor, always quick with a helpful suggestion, like "You should throw away your camera and go shoot whoever sold it to you!"

I didn't mind Mike B, and actually agreed with him more often than not when he was giving his opinion. What pissed me off personally about him was when he hijacked a thread and s**t on people for no reason... by that I mean it's one thing to offer an opinion when the photog is asking for one, but not when it has nothing to do with the thread. And he seemed to go out of his way to be a prick, oh and the circular arguements.

But it is a little boring here without him around...

I was wondering "Where is JD Moore!?" but then I've been on the banhammer for the past few weeks.
