Default Hlcx 6317

Hey guys,

Doing some research on the original PRR 6040's current state have turned up blank. I know it was on the Pan Am for quite some time, but the shots of it are now around two years old. Is it still up there, either as HLCX or MEC? Id appreciate any info!

A gentleman in Massachusetts occasionally photographs the Pan Am facilities from the air. Reviewing a shot of Rigby Yard in Portland finds no HLCX units stored there:

Nothing at Waterville, ME shops, either:

Both of these were taken in the summer of 2011, so are definitely more current than what's out on the web.

He has an older set which includes the yard and shop at E. Deerfield, MA at this link:

6317 was not among the SD40-2s Pan Am purchased from Helm. I can't find any mention of it among the various groups, but it appears it is no longer on the Pan Am system. CSX shows receiving it from PAR at Barbours, MA on November 12th and no record from there, so it does not appear to be among the active lease units on their system. Sorry this doesn't answer the mystery, but it does at least solve it's no longer on PAR...

Thanks for the info! Not sure what the deal was with the forums at the time I tried posting this...
