Default Help greatly appreciated on a photo

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if my fellow forum buddies could please give me a hand on this photo. It was rejected for poor lighting. If it can't be saved, I'm fine with that, however, I was hoping to have it accepted, due to the rare scene. Either is fine with me.

I gave it a try on lightening it a bit, however, it was rejected for lighting and cropping (most likely due to part of the signal bridge).

Thanks in advance!

Did you get another shot with the whole signal bridge and just the two trains on the right? That'd be a nicer composition. The bridge being cut off makes things unbalanced, at least to me; I do realize you wanted the train on the left though.

Hi Nick,
As Rich said that cutting the right side of the signal bridge make the shot unbalanced.Do you caught the original with the whole bridge?I have also asmall question were the three trains moving in the same time?

Thick, heavy cloud cover did nothing for this photo. There is no help for this shot.

I know the idea was to get all three trains in the same shot, but you would have needed to be further back I think to make this actually work. The sign with the D on it throws everything off and is too distracting. A better angle probably would have been on the opposite side of the tracks, but of course, I have no way of knowing if that could have been done without trespassing.

That said, I don't think RP will accept thise scene even if you have the signal alligned right just becuse of the sky. Doesn't mean the shot isn't worth saving, just no RP-worthy. Keep shooting and don't shoot FOR Railpictures.

Thanks for your help, guys.

Hi Rich and Mohamed,

I went to the other side of the tracks to get this photo (attached). The lighting is bad, though. I'm going to save it for the personal collection.

Mohamed, to answer your question, the train in the middle was at a crawling speed, and the two others were idling away.

I like the Cascade Green ex-BN paint in the shot, but the clouds are a killer...

Thanks, Adam.

Here's the way that I look at it. The yard at Eola always has some older power. That way, I always have something to look forward to at that location.

Nothing can help this shot. Even if the lighting could be fixed, you still have that cloudy/common power thing going on.
