That oh so great Horseshoe Curve vanatage point
Do not try this at home... or in Altoona, for that matter!
VIDEO
Watch this through for insight on how this image:
PhotoID: 406126 Photograph © Norfolk Southern Corp
was captured. FYI, max speed around the Curve with a "mixed train"
is reported to be 15 mph - up and down, steam or diesel.

Lol... good idea, though if anyone wants to also catch 765 then they can tune in at 1:10 and skip the video bobbing and searching.

Aha! So, that's where Casey was. I would have guessed he was higher up and further downhill, but I guess it was a wide angle shot.
(Dramamine recommended for that video)

Can someone just save us the trouble of watching it and tell us what it shows?

I'm surprised he wasn't wearing an orange/green/whatever vest. Isn't that a requirement when "working" around railroad tracks?

Uh, trees. Lots of trees. And some smoke belching thing on wheels shows up occasionally during the video.

Looks to be wearing an NS vest in the video to me. I saw him shortly after this video was taken and he had one on.

I think they were all drinking or something, look at the guy at 2:49 with the video camera, he's just twirling around, I think he lost where the train went...
Thanks for that insight Mitch

Re-watch. Repent.
The only thing missing in this video was random fart noises, f-bombs, screams of WOOOOOO-HOOOOOO, and somebody yelling, "NICKEL PLATE LIVES ON!"

I'm guessing he was spinning around to actually show the whole curve.

Alls I can think of is that character that screams and yells over seeing like an SD40-2 going by. I am sure you know who I am talking about, as I am drawing a blank.

Its blown out but there are a few times you can catch what looks like safety yellow especially when the camera loses focus.

It's a yellow safety vest. Casey is never seen without it.

Too bad for his girlfriend or wife... but saves the trouble of getting dressed in the morning, I suppose.
