No, its pretty easy to tell that this guy is a crappy photographer and is only getting his shots on because his photos of equipment will get the views.
We, as a community have helped shape the website with our opinions of what should and shouldn't go on. If nobody complained and just simply agreed with everything that the website administrators did, people would start leaving.
Jumping in with "DON'T CRITICIZE OTHER PEOPLES WORK" arguments doesn't help. Yeah, people shouldn't be overly harsh, but criticism helps people get better, and weeds out the bullshit.

There's a little selling out here (first to NS then to this guy), but that's how it goes. Remember, Metallica sold out; the only problem is they never came back from sucking after they did so...

Wow, talk about hitting the nail on the head.

Too much sucking going on - that is what everyone is bent about.

What do you mean by 6 months down the road? This picture was uploaded on the 27th. Its not a individually perceived flaw, shooting on ISO 1600 on a bright sunny day IS a flaw. It definetly falls under the "Noise grain", "Poor image quality" reasons for rejection, so it is a flaw as defined by the site. Your right, if RP's owners want to accept substandard sloppily taken photos then that is their right, but its fair game for discussion on the forum, I'm sure you have looked at the forum enough to see that this kind of thread is far from uncommon.

I think the lesson we should all take from this thread is that we're all jealous of those ISO 1600 shots and if we complain too much, heritage units will run three back in the middle of the night in our areas from here on out.

And by the way, nothing they have done or will do can touch the "And Justice For All..." CD.

How can you not like "One"? I get all crazy in the car every time this comes on the radio.

I figured out that peach heads are fans of the Allman Brothers, but not why they are called so. An early album was called Eat A Peach, and the band originated in Georgia, the Peach State. Does that have something to do with it? Someone, please explain!

Interesting. Well, since I'm only familiar with their two radio hits (Jessica and Ramblin' Man), it's no surprise that I'm not aware of any of this.

Two radio hits? How about Whipping Post, Melissa, Midnight Rider . . .

Well, he's managed to drop the ISO to 800, but the sky is still awful noisy, and is it just me, or does the white look blown out?

A white engine overexposed at ISO 800 in the middle of the day? No way!

Interesting, Jim! I certainly had heard Metallica songs but never One, which apparently gets regular radio play up there? I don't think I had ever heard it before last night, and I've listened to a lot of AOR in my days. And yet Allman Brothers means little to you.

Funny how it goes, I still remember from some time ago getting embarrassed because I didn't recognize a Steppenwolf song by name; once I heard it, I realized I knew the song very well, just had no clue who performed it.

Hitching Post - Hitching Post? Did you mean the non-radio hit Whipping post?
Melissa - Not a radio hit (you just like it because it mentions a freight train. )
Midnight Rider - Not a radio hit.

Well, Ramblin' Man and Jessica meant a lot to me at one time when I used to do a classic rock gig back in the mid-90s.

Yes, "One" gets a ton of radio play up here. If I listened enough, I probably could have heard it once a week for the past 23 years. By the way, "One" was Metallica's first Top 40 hit, reaching #35 on the Hot 100 in 1989.
