Of course he didn't. He just wanted to call us names and feel mightier than us.

It worked... and in the process, I got an hour's worth of internet drama to entertain me...

Not really. You got an hours worth of being a dick to entertain yourself. Nothing that you said contradicts anything we said on this photo..

I think everyone's pissed because this guy who doesn't know how to use his relatively expensive camera is getting his low quality pictures on here so he can profit from them, and they're being accepted only because the website will profit from them. I've been led to assume that this website is more about quality images, not accepting an image based on its "newsworthy-ness."

Nothing to do with "whiny DSLR snobs", has to do with shitty photos being accepted regardless what they were taken with. My first photos on here were taken with a ancient Canon A80 4 mp point and shoot and they look far better than this.

If Program mode is shooting it like that his program mode is messed up. It would never choose ISO 1600 I can guarantee you that.

What I find most interesting is the ignored rejection for "high sun."

Between the shadows on the wheels and the overexposed ballast, I wonder why it got accepted.

Really??? Let's see, Brian is a new contributor to RP, appears to have some access you don't, shared something that-if- you see it may be tarped, and has two of the three Top Shots of last week (this image being one of them).

Are the potty-mouth responses really needed?

Potty mouth? Really? I'm pretty sure we're all mature enough to handle a "bad word." At least I would really hope so...

Glenn, does anyone ever call you "Glenn 'Big Baby' Davis"? I can't help but think that every time I see your name.

Um yes, you know I was never one of those calling Casey out on his photos, and defending him while many here were complaining about minute flaws such as grass, slightly high sun. Was I jealous of him about having first access to heritage units? Of course not, this is not what this thread is about. Its about someone being absolutely sloppy and making mistakes that a 5 year old would and getting a free pass.

Nailed another one. Didn't realize the yard in Altoona was in such a steep grade.

But it's from 2011, so not a response to this thread, if that is what you were implying.

No, not implying that, just found it interesting that a picture taken on an overcast day had an iso of 100 while a sunny day picture was shot at 1600. Odd.

Yep. For those counting, this is my 7th post. I normally don't visit the RP forums, but like you, I am a registered member. Seniority isn't required, nor is a similar viewpoint to yours.

8th post for those keeping track.

Not jealous, but feel the need 6 months later to point out your individually perceived flaws with someone else's work? Point is, this site doesn't belong to you, to me, or anyone but the owners. They have the time and effort involved to have kept it running and growing for the past decade+. If you aren't happy here, you have options of other sites to upload images and share.

J-Guy, seriously, have you ever been on a forum before? Have you ever chatted about stuff with friends? Have you ever talked with someone, say, about what your favorite sports team should do? Wow, it is like you have never interacted with others as a human.

Needless to say, well, actually, shockingly, it turns out to be needed to say!, in this set of forums we frequently talk about what RP should and should not do. This will stun you, so please sit down before continuing, but we all actually are somewhat aware of your statement beginning with "Point is". We talk/banter/discuss/critique anyway! How about that!

The fact that anyone can seriously argue over pictures of trains gives me this expression:

Oh, come on. It's just indicative of the human condition. At an instinctual level we are incapable of agreement. We must always have something to argue over!
