Question Should I submit this one?

Greetings All

The photo attached is of the front of the Queensland Rail tilt train (Australia). What do you think my chances are? All suggestions etc. welcomed.

Thanks
Doug

Chances are poor in my opinion, sorry to say. There are quite a number of shots of these trainsets in the database already. The light is overcast, the visible side of the trainset dark, the front with a nasty glare/reflection. I don't see it getting in; I would expect it to get a cloudy day / common power or backlit rejection (or both).

I agree, it wouldn't get in.

Ask yourself a few things when you're shooting:
1. Would this picture be interesting if a train wasn't in it?
2. Is my shadow more or less pointing in the same direction as my camera?
3. Would this picture be [somewhat] interesting for anyone to look at?

Another thing to keep in mind is that the folks screening the shots really seem to have a thing for being able to see the trucks/bogies lit up nicely.

Keep asking questions - we're more than happy to help, especially when the person asking is asking so nicely.
