Got this shot of two unfinished MBTA F40PH-3C rebuilds on a tied down Boise Valley Railroad freight in Nampa, ID today. They were undergoing total rebuilds at MPI when Wabtec-GE ordered all rebuilding operations moved to Erie, PA, so these may very well mark the end of an era of locomotive rebuilding in Boise going back at least 30 years. Which leads me to wonder... would this be an interesting enough shot to make it here, given the context? The wires are an issue, but I imagine those can be clone-stamped out rather easily. As for lighting, being somewhat sunny but partly cloudy makes this a difficult call for me, so I figured I'd ask around here before risking another swing and a miss.
