Default Do we have a leaner?

I say no. I put a grid on the side of the CSX engine nearest the center of the picture. It's not leaning.

At 400% magnification the locos are indeed dead on, but you have a couple of fairly prominent vertical elements on each side which have a CW tilt, giving the locos the appearance to the unlearned eye of having a touch of CCW lean. Not enough for a legit rejection in my opinion, however that glare - although unrelated to the rejection given - is killing it for me...

The rejection was for a lean to the right. Hope they're not looking at those poles, esp. the one on the left.

The steel structure and the feel of the photo does look like it's leaning right. The engine may be on bad track that isn't level.

You may pull the left top outside to make the pole look vertical.

I'll second that - and lalam said exactly what I was thinking.

Remember - it doesn't have to be level to get on RP, it just has to LOOK level to get on RP.

Right, I forgot the new rejections now take away the guessing game of which way the screener's desk was tilting! And one would certainly hope they weren't looking at those poles when making that assumption, especially when one can see many other vertical elements which are truly plumb. Too bad that wind sock mast wasn't out front of the light pole. Then again, the yard tracks do seem to have a bit of right tilt to them, but I suspect that's more an illusion caused by the curve than reality. Still that glare though, it's kinda like a poke in the eye.

It looks better 1 degree CCW, but that glare kills it IMO.

Sorry, but it is:

a: a boring shot

b: the glare is a shot killer

So why are you wanting this shot on?

ATSF can go and self fornicate for all I care. It's a shot of a train. I kinda liked having both Class 1s in there. If the shot never gets on, it's not a big deal.

Is it level? No. It's not very far off, however. I won't go into the details because you're already in the mindset to not believe it.

Went with another frame --

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...56&key=4694715

I might can see bumping up the brightness a few, but the composition here works for me to show the NS power in the background.

To Flickr they go!

Your second shot is a much better composition, is there a reason you didn't start with it?

That first shot may have been level, but it had a multitude of other issues damaging its appearance.

Bad Composition is one of the things they rejected the second one. Not sure why I didn't go with it first. It was an either/or proposition, I guess.
