I wanted the 24-105L, but instead got Lerro Production tickets to a steam photo charter, an external hard drive, and a handful of other odds and ends.

I've got some money as well that'll go towards the 24-105.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got a 500GB external hard drive and a couple of DVDs. Plus a new scanner antenna for my car to replace the one that I busted previously. Most of my other gifts were not train/photography related, but that's fine with me. I also got some money that will go to the purchase of a new camera bag and (hopefully) a 70-200L for my birthday in February.

I got a much needed new tripod, some odds and ends for my rail chasing vehicle, the rest is mostly unrelated to railfanning/photography.

I didn't get a darn thing! Nothing from anyone. Guess I shouldn't have been so naughty this year.

Cool

I got a a ThinkTank StreetWalker Pro backpack camera bag.

http://www.thinktankphoto.com/produc...-backpack.aspx

A camo Crumpler "The Industry Disgrace" camera strap. Hopefully carrying the camera will be less tiring and less conspicuous.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ST24D3984KKG3B

Also an Apple Magic Mouse. Scrolling without a wheel, just like a track pad.
Replaces the track pad mouse that would gum up periodically.

Santa skipped my house. Something about having taken an inventory of the amount of Two Buck Chuck bottles in my recycling bin.

I got a few more Intermountain N scale covered hoppers... the things are like crack... can't get enough of them. I received a couple of train related books and a battery charger too.

Way to do w/ that cover shot David

Nice cover David!

The only related thing I got was The Photographer's Eye by Michael Feeman. I bought myself a hand strap, see if I like that better than the basic neck strap (that camera strap above looks great).

Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to getting home so I can actually see the print version (I'm currently visiting family in CA).
