Default Terre Haute Rejects

I thought I'd post my latest batch of rejects, so at least they could be seen for a few days before they fall off the reject list. I had a fun day shooting them; seemed a waste not to share them.

Reject One

Reject Two

Reject Three

In the evening, I should have used that gorgeous light to shoot my little boy eating his peanut butter M&Ms. A train in the background would have just been a bonus. Opportunities missed.....

Two of them for bad angle, and one for color saturation issues.

If you are looking for photo advice to improve your skills you are welcome to post these rejections for that reason. If you are posting them just to show them to people you need to find somewhere else to post them im the future.

I am getting quite a few people tired of seeing all the rejected photos posted and I can't say that I disagree....

For #2, try blurring it a tiny bit and increase the hue a notch.

Chris,

Strictly curious, is it still okay to use the "trip report" forum to post photos that we choose not to upload to the database? Is the fact that people are posting photos and complaining about rejections what spurned this on?

Have you seen the post suggesting a separate forum for rejected photos?

Cheers!
Sean

Sure, feel free to use the trip report forum for photos.

I have seen that thread and I think that is something that will be coming online soon.

Thanks!

Chris,
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to annoy you. I think possibly you misunderstood my intentions. I was not complaining about the rejections. In fact, if you look back through my posts, you'll see that I've never bitched about getting rejected. I've asked for suggestions and tips, but have never gotten pissy about the final decision. I am in full agreement that the site accepts what it wants to, and rejects what it doesn't want. You will never, ever see me post one of those threads that whines, bitches and moans about how my picture is just as good as so-and-so's picture, or about a sun angle, or a bad motive, or whatever.

I just posted these because I thought they were nice shots, and I wanted the couple of guys that I "know" from these forums to get to see them, and anyone else who was interested. It does NOT mean that I think they should have been accepted. I just had fun shooting them, was kinda proud of how they came out, and hated to see them just vaporize.

I, too, am sick of seeing rejection posts that inevitably turn into the rejected photog whining about you and your staff's decisions. I promise, you'll never get that from me. I respect your decisions, and understand that "appealing" through the forums instead of the appeal process is annoying, devisive, and futile.

Anyway, I apologize. I wasn't trying to be a PITA.
