Default Another Bad Cropping Help Thread

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...49&key=9669440

Can anyone help me to figure out what direction to go with this? I tried another crop after this one that added more sky, but that one got the reject as well for bad cropping.

Thanks

I think it's just compositionally flawed. It's a little bit of bridge and a little bit of train, with a fair amount of empty space thrown in on the right.

It's also suffering from some wide angle distortion, and the saturation is quite high.

Do you have a shot in which the bridge isn't as badly cut off?

Cool

I would have to agree with Lloyd. This is what I would call a PEQ if I were a screener. It just doesn't work aesthetically. There just isn't anything in the image that makes me want to look at it. The bridge is rather ugly, the train is abruptly cut off, the engine is common power, there isn't any story. Technically the image is okay, although I agree it is a bit over saturated, especially the greens. Basically what I am saying is you need a more interesting scene.

Thanks for the critiques gentleman. Was just trying something different than the traditional wedgies.

Maybe the crop is too square (although some squarish shots have been accepted lately).
Needs some CW rotation too.
