OK. I may dig a few more and see what the group thinks. I thought they would accept it. By the way, the shot was taken by the great David Plowden, one of the most respected railroad photographers of the last 100 years. I seem to recall it was one of his favorites. Notice the single box car with open doors on both sides.

Beautiful image! Most definitely deserving of acceptance into the database. Plowden is a huge inspiration to me!

Thanks,
Chase

I just realized I didn't have a photographer that inspired me. Maybe that's why I suck!

I was already taking train photos for some time before I realized anyone else did.. lol

Yeah, Loyd, your photos suck. Worst I've ever seen. Get off this site!

I hadn't heard of O. Winston Link until I joined this forum. Or any of the other big name railroad photographers. Or ANYONE for that matter.

I would hate to be the screener who rejected David Plowden.

I would actually expect it to get rejected due to the height.

Plowden still only shoots medium format black and white to this day.

My mantra at most times it is cloudy and I am out is "WHAT would David Plowden do... well aside from shooting medium format black and white prints..."
